WASHINGTON, D.C.–Today, Congressman Mark Amodei (R-NV-02) issued the following statement after introducing H.R.9511, the PROTECT Act, the Presumption for Radiation or Toxin Exposure Coverage for Troops Act with Representative Susie Lee (D-NV-03), which would ensure comprehensive medical care to veterans exposed to radiation and other toxins at the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) by establishing a presumption of exposure to radiation and toxins at NTTR beginning in 1972.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed Congressman Mark Amodei’s (NV-02) Mining Regulatory Clarity Act of 2024 (H.R. 2925), which would set forth a process to allow mine operations to use, occupy, and conduct operations on public land regardless of whether a mineral deposit has been discovered on the land.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Mark Amodei (NV-02) today announced the reintroduction of the Lake Tahoe Restoration Reauthorization Act, along with original cosponsors: Reps. Dina Titus (NV-01), Susie Lee (NV-03), Steven Horsford (NV-04), and John Garamendi (CA-08). This bipartisan legislation reauthorizes $415 million in funding through September 30, 2034 to reduce the threat of wildfire, combat invasive species, improve water clarity, and restore the environment in the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Nevada Congressman Mark Amodei has reintroduced the Northern Nevada Economic Development, Conservation and Military Modernization Act that would be included in the fiscal year 2022 National Defense Authorization Acts for possible consideration later this year.
