Washington, D.C., February 26, 2015 – The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) awarded Representative Mark Amodei (R-NV-02) the NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence at an event hosted by NAM member company Click Bond, Inc in Carson City, Nevada.

“Congressman Amodei is a powerful advocate for Nevada manufacturing – a sector that is increasingly important to the growth and diversification of Nevada’s economy”, said Click Bond President Collie Hutter. “These votes represent a spectrum of issues impacting manufacturers, and we are thankful for Mark’s perfect score of 100 percent”.

“More and more manufacturers are discovering what NAM members such as Click Bond have known for decades, Nevada is a prime place to build and grow manufacturing businesses,”said Rep. Amodei. “When manufacturing is strong, it addresses many of the issues with which the federal and state governments struggle, from jobless benefits to healthcare to housing to the deficit. I will continue to do all I can to promote pro-growth policies that unleash our nation’s entrepreneurs and workforce to do what they do best – manufacture world-class products.”

“Manufacturing in Nevada and across the country is making a comeback,” said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons. “Manufacturers are growing the economy and creating high-paying jobs in a sector that adds $1.32 to the economy for every $1 spent. Representative Amodei understands that leaders in Washington must advance policies that will continue to fuel this economic growth and has consistently supported manufacturers through his votes in Congress.”

Key Votes included in the Voting Record are selected by small, medium and large manufacturing executives who serve on the NAM’s Key Vote Advisory Committee. Additional information on the NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence can be found here.
