Carson City, Nev. – Congressman Mark Amodei (NV-2) will participate in the Nevada Day festivities in his hometown of Carson City on Saturday, October 29.

He will attend the pancake breakfast at the Governor's Mansion, hosted by the Carson City Republican Women's Club from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., to help raise scholarship funds for two high school seniors -- one from Carson City and one from Dayton.

Amodei will drive his 1986 GMC truck down the parade route, which is scheduled to being at 10:00 a.m. He will be accompanied by his mother Joy, his daughters Erin and Ryanne, his nephew Riley, his niece Abby, and his two dogs.

"Anytime the House is not in session, I'm back home in Nevada, so I'm happy to join my neighbors to celebrate this year's theme -- Nevada's Great Outdoors -- which is one of my favorite things about the Silver State," said Amodei.
