AMODEI STATEMENT ON NEVADA RECEIVING ADDITIONAL PPE SUPPLIES

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Congressman Mark Amodei (NV-02) today released the following statement thanking the Administration, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)for helping the State of Nevada secure a Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) shipment containing thousands of units of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Delivery to Nevada has taken place over the last several days, and will continue for several more days. The process of distribution to health care facilities throughout Nevada will be in accordance with direction given by Governor Sisolak and his staff.
Specifics of the PPE allocation are as follows:
- 29,600 Gowns
- 184,200 Gloves
- 1,750 Coveralls
- 60,450 n95 Masks
- 143,500 Surgical Masks
- 31,200 Face Shields
“While we can never say mission accomplished, these additional PPE supplies will help alleviate some of the frontline challenges our doctors, nurses, and health care professionals have been facing here in Nevada. I’m grateful to the Administration, FEMA, and HHS for working to secure these much-needed supplies for the Silver State.
“We are in the process of monitoring an expected shipment to Nevada of 15 Abbott IDNOW testing platforms, a cutting edge technology used to identify coronavirus within minutes of being tested at a patient’s point-of-care. Upon the anticipated receipt of these platforms, estimated to be a week, they will then be distributed throughout the state in accordance with direction given by Governor Sisolak and his staff.”
