RENO, Nev. – Congressman Mark Amodei (NV-2) today announced he will hold a veterans' town hall meeting in Sparks on Tuesday, November 5, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in the Sparks City Council Chambers, 745 4th Street (Southwest corner of Prater Way and 4th Street, across from the post office). The town hall will feature staff from the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs. The committee staff are in town at Congressman Amodei’s request to meet with the Reno VA Regional Office and to visit the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.

“As a member of the Veterans’ Committee, my office works closely with their people to see that our veterans receive the benefits they earned and were promised,” said Amodei. “I want to thank the committee staff for coming to Northern Nevada because I think there is no substitute for seeing the issues on the ground and talking with the folks who are directly hurt by such problems as the VA disability claims backlog. ”
