Washington, D.C.– Congressman Mark Amodei (NV-02) encourages high school students interested in opportunities offered by the five U.S. Service Academies to attendService Academy Information Day on Saturday, March 16 in Reno. The event will be held at the University of Nevada, Reno’s Joe Crowley Student Union Building, Ballroom A, located at 1664 North Virginia Street.

Each year, Members of Congress may nominate a limited number of high school seniors to attend one of our nation’s five U.S. Service Academies. Service Academy Information Day serves as a critical resource to students interested in obtaining a military education by providing them with an opportunity to speak to Service Academy representatives about the application and nomination processes.

“As an Army ROTC alumnus and the father of a veteran and Navy ROTC alumna, I value the educational opportunities provided by our nation’s armed forces to students who are interested in serving their country,”said Congressman Amodei. “I strongly encourage all high school students seeking a nomination to one of our nation’s Service Academies to attend Saturday’s event to learn more.”
