We’ve moved! Our D.C. office is now located at 104 Cannon House Office Building.
It’s always nice to see familiar faces while I’m in Washington, so please don’t hesitate to stop by and say hello during your visit. My door is always open, and my staff and I are here to help in any way we can. In addition to serving as a resource when booking tours for your trip to our nation’s capital, below are some of the other services we provide to residents in Nevada’s Second Congressional District.
116th Congressional Lapel Pin
Visiting Washington, D.C.
Whether you're coming on a short business trip, or an extended family vacation, my office can help make arrangements for some of the more popular federal attractions in D.C. These tours are free of charge and an excellent way to see all the nation's capital has to offer. All tickets are provided to constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request tickets as early as possible in order to maximize your chances of securing a tour during your visit.
To start planning your visit, please be sure to fill out our tour request form at: www.amodei.house.gov/visiting-washington-dc, or contact my D.C. office at: (202) 225-6155.
Federal Assistance
Residents of CD-2 can contact my office for assistance with things like: Social Security, Medicare, the IRS, the Department of Interior, immigration, or housing issues. Although I cannot override the decisions made by a federal agency, I can often intervene on your behalf to answer questions, find solutions, and just cut through the red-tape.
Veterans' Issues
If you have a question about veterans' related issues and benefits, including, but not limited to: housing, the VA hospital, your benefit application, or if you believe the Department of Veterans Affairs has not given your case proper consideration, my staff might be able to help. Please contact my Reno office at (775) 686-5760.
Flag Requests
If you would like a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol, please contact my Washington office for assistance or visit: www.amodei.house.gov/flag-requests.
Service Academy Information
Each year, my office joins fellow Members of Nevada’s Congressional Delegation to host Academy Information Day. This forum provides high school sophomores and juniors with an opportunity to speak with representatives from the five U.S. Service Academies to learn about the enrollment, nomination, and additional processes involving the Service Academies. Please visit: amodei.house.gov/academy-nominations for Service Academy FAQ’s.
Opportunities for Students
Capitol Hill internships provide valuable opportunities for college students and recent graduates to experience our nation's legislative process first-hand. In addition to college internships, our office also provides several opportunities for high school students. All of these opportunities may be found on the 'Student' page on my website.
