Mark Recognizes Service Academy Advisory Board

Mark would like to recognize the members of his Service Academy Selection Committee, who interviewed 38 potential service academy students for Congressional nominations on Saturday, November 19.

"This is an impressive group of individuals who have all honorably served their country," said Amodei, who was an Army JAG officer. "I thank them for their service and I'm grateful that they agreed to be a part of this inspiring process of nominating young people for application to our nation's service academies."

Applicants to all service academies, except the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, are required to obtain a nomination to the school. Nominations may be made by Senators, Representatives, the President, and the Vice President. The members of Amodei's Service Academy Selection Committee interview potential candidates from Nevada's 2nd Congressional District and advise the Congressman on his nominations.
