Flag Requests

Fly a Flag Over the U.S. Capitol

A United States flag can be flown over the U.S. Capitol in Washington in honor or in memory of a person or special occasion, event, or organization, and may be flown on a specific date. All flags flown over the Capitol are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Please note: If multiple flags are requested to be flown, they will all be flown on the same date and shipped at the same time. If you need flags flown on different dates, you must submit separate order requests for each separate date to fly the flags.

There is no limit on the number of flags you may order. Flags may be purchased in multiple sizes and materials.

For additional questions and information on flying a flag over the U.S. Capitol, please contact Jessica Kleitsch at: Jessica.Kleitsch@mail.house.gov or call Congressman Amodei’s Washington, D.C. office at 202-225-6155.

Flag Request Information

If you are choosing to have a dedication message, please be aware the message must comply with the following format:

“At the request of the Honorable Mark E. Amodei, Member of Congress, this flag was flown on behalf of [blank], in [celebration/recognition/memory/honor…] of [blank]. ”

For your reference, you will have the option to pay by credit card or by check. If you choose to pay by check, please note that our office will not be able to process your request until we receive your payment. All postal mail sent to my offices must be scanned for security purposes, which means it will take about two weeks for your check to reach our office. Once we receive your check, we will be happy to submit your request to the Capitol flag office. Please note the Flag Office requires two weeks processing time after we submit your request before they are able to fly the flag over the Capitol.
